I absolutely love kindergarten drawings.
Day 1: practice drawing various types of familiar insects. Learned said and wrote their names in Spanish.
Day 2: Each child chose one insect and using a pencil drew that insect and their "home". I demonstrated before sending them out.
Day 3: Use water-soluble pastels to color our insect and its home
Day 4: we saw a slideshow of skies of various colors then students were sent to their seats to color in their background/sky.
Day 5: (have not yet done). Children will use small brushes and water to paint over their colors to see how the water-soluble paint dissolves with water. It should give it a very nice watercolor affect.
