PAINT a mural. Because of the limited space, the spots will be assigned. Please contact us if you would like to paint a large mural. There will be open community area, where everyone can create a smaller piece.

Location: 2nd Street SE and Virginia Avenue SE, Washington, DC under Southeast Freeway overpass. Closest Metro is Capitol South (Blue and Orange Lines)

The paved area under a Southeast Freeway, also known as “Bridge Spot,” is heavily used by skaters and as a basketball court. It is adjacent to Garfield Park playground and tennis courts. We teamed up with The Friends of Garfield Park to curate the walls to create a colorful space full of art.
