2nd Graders are just finishing a unit in printmaking. Since in class they are learning about skip counting, prints lend themselves very well to the idea of multiples. Children focused on using varying lines, such as thick and thin and making sure that all areas of their print was interesting to the "viewer".
This site is meant primarily as a resource for other elementary visual art teachers. Enjoy! Prek 3D Masks
Prek Kids have been learning various ways to make paper pop out .....last week we've made paper sculptures. This week we are making faces using techniques learned last week.
Ordered New Shelves for the Art Room
Thanks to our amazingly organized and hardworking HSA, now I will have more floor space in the art room. I just ordered 2 double shelves from Ikea. I need them most to place drying large sculptures and tall gallon paint and glue containers. When they arrive I would love some help putting them together.....in exchange, I'll make you a batch of delicious banana muffins.....
